Entrance Requirements for Commercial Driver's License Courses
- State Driver's License or CDL Permit
- A passing grade on admission test
- Personal Interview
- Ability to pass DOT Physical and Drug Test
- Copy of Driving Record from RMV
Minimum Requirements to start your new Career in Transportation
AGE — While many states allow those 18 & older to drive trucks within state borders, federal regulations require drivers crossing state lines to be at least 21 years of age.
PHYSICAL CONDITION — A student must be able to pass a physical and drug test to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate. (D.O.T. Card)
VISION — A driver must have a minimum of 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without corrective lenses, and have 70 degree field of vision in each eye. Drivers may not be color blind.
CRIMINAL/DRIVING RECORD — Records must be brought to the school for a confidential evaluation.
